This week I cover some of the basics of what the Combinator is and go through the process of creating a patch with a split keyboard and selectable drum patterns.

In this week's episode we'll learn how to load the Reason Drum Kits combinator patches and reroute each drum mic from the standard 14 channel mixer inside the combinator to Record's main mixer. Doing this allows you to mix your individual drum mics with all the killer EQ and dynamics processing available in every mix channel in record. There is quite simply no better way to get a pro sounding drum mix than mixing each mic individually on a pro-level console.
